- “Physical Therapists: Physical therapists must complete and maintain proof of 32 hours of continuing education (CE) every two years to maintain their license. Physical therapists must also complete 200 hours involving the application of physical therapy knowledge and skills which may be obtained through employment or through non-clinical activities every two years.

Are Apply EBP courses approved by APTA for CEUs?
Unlike AOTA and ASHA, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) does not approve continuing education courses. PT and PTA continuing education approval requirements vary by state. For Washington PT and PTAs, courses do not require preapproval. Apply EBP courses fall under the CE Type: “Participation in a course, live or online, including recorded.” If you have any questions about continuing education approval, please email carlo@applyebp.com.
Where can I find Apply EBP courses are appropriate for Washington PTs and PTAs?
See the lists of live workshops, on-demand webinars, and school symposiums. Click on a course you are interested in and review the CEU approval information, including the number of CE hours, audience, and instructional level. If a course’s intended audience includes PTs and PTAs, such course is appropriate for Washington PT and PTA CEUs in accordance with WAC 246-915-085. Do I receive a certificate after completing a course?
Yes. Participants who successfully complete the course requirements receive a certificate of completion or attendance which includes course approvals for various states. Requirements may include attending or viewing the course, completing attendance checks and/or assessments, and submitting a course evaluation.
