• • • “R 338.7161 License renewals; requirements; applicability. Rule 61.
      • (1) An applicant for renewal shall satisfy the requirements of the code and the rules promulgated under the code.
      • (2) An applicant for license renewal who has been licensed in the 3-year period immediately before the expiration date of the license shall accumulate PDR credits in activities approved under these rules during the 3 years immediately before the expiration date of the license, as follows:
        • (a) Not less than 36 PDR credits if the applicant for license renewal is a physical therapist.
        • (b) Not less than 24 PDR credits if the applicant for license renewal is a physical therapist assistant.”
    • “R 338.7163 Acceptable PDR activities; requirements; limitations. (4) Any of the following are considered acceptable PDR activities for a physical therapist:
      • Activity Code (a) Completing an approved continuing education program or activity related to the practice of physical therapy or any non-clinical subject relevant to the practice of physical therapy. A continuing education program or activity is approved, regardless of the format that it is offered, if it is approved or offered for continuing education credit by any of  following:
        • – Another state board of physical therapy.
        • – Another board or task force regulated under article 15 of the code, MCL 333.16101 to 333.18838. 
        • – FSBPT. 
        • – The APTA or its components. APTA components include the APTA Michigan and other APTA chapters, APTA sections, and APTA academies…” 
      • Number of PDR credits earned for the activity: The number of credits approved by the sponsor or the approving organization are granted. When the sponsor or approving  organization of the calculates credit at a rate 0.1 credit for every 50 to 60  minutes of continuous instruction,  0.1  credit equals 1 PDR credit. A maximum of 30 PDR credits may be earned for this activity in each renewal period.”
