Apply EBP offers practical, evidence-informed CEU courses for school-based and pediatric PTs and PTAs. The live courses, on-demand webinars and school-based OT, PT, and SLP symposiums offered by Apply EBP to physical therapists and physical therapist assistants are considered approved by the Oregon Board of Physical Therapy (OBPT) according to the OBPT Continuing Competency (CC) webpage as they have been approved by other state boards of physical therapy (e.g., PT boards in Illinois, New Mexico, New York, and Oklahoma) and an APTA Chapter (e.g., Texas Physical Therapy Association). Oregon PT and PTA CEU Requirements
The following excerpts were retrieved from the Oregon Board of PT Continuing Competency webpage on 8/13/2026. Please note that we are providing this for your information only. It is the responsibility of the licensee to know and keep up to date with their state’s regulations.
- “How many units of CC do I need to complete? The number of CC hours that you need depends on the effective date of your current license. This date is printed on your license, or you can look up your record via the license lookup tool. Then, just determine where your effective date falls in the table below to determine how many hours you will need to complete.
- Effective Date: Between April 1st, 2024 and March 31st, 2025 – Total CC Units Required: 24 Hours
- Between April 1st, 2025 and December 31st, 2025 – Total CC Units Required: 12 Hours
- Between January 1, 2026 and March 31, 2026 – Total CC Units Required: 0 Hours”
- “How are courses approved in Oregon? The Board does not approve Continuing Competency courses, but does require that courses have been sponsored, certified, or approved by another established and recognized health related organization, professional association, or state. Essentially- if the course says that they have been approved by any other state or by any other health related Oregon Board, the course is approved for credit with the Oregon Board of Physical Therapy as well. ”

Are Apply EBP courses approved by APTA for CEUs?
Unlike AOTA and ASHA, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) does not approve continuing education courses. PT and PTA continuing education approval requirements vary by state. Apply EBP courses are considered approved in accordance with the Oregon Board of PT Continuing Competency webpage as they have been approved by other state boards of physical therapy (e.g., PT boards in Illinois, New Mexico, New York, and Oklahoma) and an APTA Chapter (e.g., Texas Physical Therapy Association). Where can I find Apply EBP courses that are approved for Oregon PT and PTA CEUs?

Click on a course you are interested in and review the CEU approval information, including the number of CE hours, audience, and instructional level. If a course’s intended audience includes PTs and PTAs, such course is considered approved for Oregon PT and PTA CEUs according to this Oregon Board of PT Continuing Competency webpage. Do I receive a certificate after completing a course?
Yes. Participants who successfully complete the course requirements receive a certificate of completion or attendance which includes course approvals for various states. Requirements may include attending or viewing the course, completing attendance checks or assessments, and submitting a course evaluation.
