Located in the heart of the nation’s capital, The George Washington University (GW) Physical Therapy (PT) program is part of a nationally-ranked university on an urban campus affiliated with a Medical School, a School of Public Health, and a University Hospital.
The GW PT program strives to create an environment for learning that supports the professional development of students, faculty, and clinicians and fosters well-respected practitioners through excellence in teaching, service, and scholarship. Through various opportunities, the program serves as a vehicle for students, faculty, and practitioners to continue to develop in their professional competence as a practitioner, teacher, researcher, consultant, advocate, manager, and leader. With proximity to the Washington DC VA Veterans Affairs Medical Center, American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Medstar National Rehabilitation Network (MedStar NRH), and Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH), and other key organizations help make the GW experience unlike any other.
