FAQs about the Annual School-based OT, PT, and SLP Symposium

Explore answers to most frequently asked questions.

Our annual live online School-Based OT, PT, and SLP Symposium is typically held in early spring, usually in March or April. Please subscribe here or join our Facebook Group page here so you’ll be among the first to hear about the date for the next one.

Our symposiums are designed for school-based OTs, OTAs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, and SLPAs. Some programs are profession-specific, while others are multidisciplinary. They are appropriate for both practitioners who are new to school-based practice and experienced professionals looking for updated evidence, practical tools, and fresh ideas. Past school-based symposiums have also been attended by general education and special education teachers (including PE and APE teachers), school administrators, other related service providers, and many others. Email carlo@applyebp.com if you have any questions.

Our yearly multi-disciplinary symposiums give OTs, PTs, and SLPs the opportunity to learn from multiple experts while gaining a clearer understanding of each profession’s role to support stronger team decision-making, promote collaboration and carryover across disciplines, and help teams stay aligned in their understanding and approach. For this reason, many school districts have found it beneficial to send their entire team of OT, PT, and SLP practitioners.

Yes. Registrants for the live symposium also receive one year of access to the on-demand version. The two most recent symposiums are also available for separate purchase with one year of access.

*Note that live sessions are not recorded to protect participant privacy and encourage open discussion. The on-demand sessions are professionally pre-recorded to ensure quality and a smooth learning experience, free from distractions and technical issues that can occur during live sessions. As a result, they may differ slightly from the live event.

Yes. Participants receive a certificate of attendance reflecting the sessions they complete. Sessions relevant to your profession are approved by AOTA, ASHA, and in multiple states for PTs and PTAs.* Review the course brochure to confirm which sessions are approved for your profession before attending.

*Unlike AOTA and ASHA, the APTA does not approve courses. PTs and PTAs should review the CEU section of the brochure or webpage to confirm approval in their state. If your state is not listed, email carlo@applyebp.com.
