Karen Tartick, PT has been practicing for over 30 years in a variety of settings including outpatient orthopedics, early intervention, acute care, NICU, and school-based physical therapy. She currently practices in the Durham Public Schools in Durham, NC. Karen has served as a member of the Autism subcommittee of the School Based Physical Therapy Special Interest Group, and co-authored the Autism Spectrum Disorder Guide for parents on the Move ForwardPT website, the APTA’s consumer webpage. Karen is an APTA Advanced Clinical Instructor, and a mentor for school-based portion of the pediatric residency program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she serves as an adjunct faculty member.

 

Connie Johnson, PT, DScPT, ABPTS-Certified PCS is a school-based physical therapist, adjunct faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University and the creator of Fit4Work. Her primary areas of expertise are on health, wellness and participation in school and work environments for youth with developmental disabilities. She is an active member of the APTA, Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy and serves as Co-Chair of the Practice Development Committee and members of Adults with Developmental Disabilities and School Special Interest Groups and has co-authored numerous fact sheets. She has published in the areas of developmental disability, physical activity and use of the Guide to PT Practice in peer reviewed journals. She is the author of Fit4Work: Fitness for Vocational Tasks for Youth with Disabilities.

 

Pamela Cummings, M.Ed., PT has over 30 years of experience in various areas of pediatric physical therapy: school-based, home-based, perinatal care, NICU, PICU, inpatient, and clinic-based.   She is the Director and PT Consultant for the I-Team Early Intervention Project and the 24-Hour Postural Care Project, supporting local providers in their work with children and young adults with motor disorders.  Both projects use a technical assistance and training model and are housed at the Center on Disability and Community Inclusion at the University of Vermont.

 

Pam Stephenson, OTD, OTR/L, BCP, FAOTA enjoys working with children and families. Pam currently works in early intervention and previously was a school-based practitioner. In both practice contexts, Pam has had a strong focus on teamwork and collaborative practice. She is a co-author of the multi-agency statement on joint goals in school-based practice. Pam has served in leadership roles in state and national organizations throughout her career and presented and published on a variety of topics, including burnout, school-based practice, and interprofessional collaboration.

 

Bridgette LeCompte, MS, OTR/L is a state-level OT Consultant and an Assistant Professor at UNC Chapel Hill. She has worked in both school and outpatient pediatric settings. She participated in the AOTA Emerging Leader Program and served as the Virginia OT Association School System Liaison.

 

Patti Sharp, OTD, OTR/L, BCP is a certified CO-OP Instructor, and OT at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). She co-leads the Developmental Coordination Disorder Community of Practice at CCHMC. She is an adjunct instructor at the University of Cincinnati. She works with children and youth with DCD, ASD, CP, SCI, TBI, orthopedic and neurologic injuries, and developmental delay. She also previously worked in neurorehabilitation and burn units. Patti is excited to share her passion for evidence-based practices with her therapy colleagues.

 

Jennifer Wissinger, PT, DPT, ABPTS-Certified PCS serves early intervention and preschool children in Columbus, OH. She is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric PT with over 15 years of experience practicing in public schools (preschool through high school), county board of developmental disability programs for adults, home health care, and early intervention. She enjoys engaging learners of all levels to use evidence and to work collaboratively in teams to serve children and their families.

 

Anne Kiraly-Alvarez OTD, OTR/L, SCSS is the program director of the OT Program at Midwestern University in IL. She has worked as an OT primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults in school-based settings.

 

Carlo Vialu, PT, MBA served as Director of Physical Therapy for the NYC Department of Education, where he oversaw a program with over 700 PTs working in more than 1,500 schools. He is project manager of research on normative data for five mobility tests for school-aged children, & co-founder of www.SeekFreaks.com.

 

Alyssa LaForme Fiss, PT, PhD is a Professor of Physical Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Texas. Her research focuses on examining and identifying effective service delivery models to improve activity and participation in children and youth with cerebral palsy and Down syndrome. She served as co-investigator in the multi-site Move & PLAY and On Track research studies examining developmental trajectories of children with cerebral palsy. She has published widely and has presented extensively at the regional, national, and international level.

 

Adiaha Spinks-Franklin, MD, MPH, FAAP is a board certified Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician. She has more than 20 years’ experience in caring for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and behavior disorders, and in training pediatric health care professionals in the US and abroad. She holds leadership positions in many national pediatric professional organizations. She identifies as Wonder Woman.

Post-tests: 10-item multiple choice. 70% correct answers required to receive a certificate for each webinar.

Total of 18.5 Hours of CE training

      • For each seminar, you will receive 1.5-2 hours of CE training after watching each video, passing the post-test (with a score of 70% or higher), and completing the course evaluation.

For PTs and PTAs

      • Apply EBP, LLC is an approved provider of CEUs for PTs and PTAs in IL, NM, NY, OK (#BAP202310011), and TX (APS #: 2703055TX)
      • The webinars in this bundle are approved for PTs and PTAs in CA.
      • These PT state boards accept approval by other states boards, other state associations, or AOTA: AK, AZ, DE, FL, HI, IN, KY, MI, MT, NC, ND, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, UT, VT, VA, WI, WY and DC.
      • These states do not require pre-approval of courses or have no CE requirements for PTs and PTAs: AL, CO, CT, GA, IA, ME, MA, MO, NE, NH and WA.
