Predicting the Future to Plan the Now

Using Prognosis in Cerebral Palsy

Wouldn’t it be great to know what the future may hold for a child with cerebral palsy? Imagine the power of combining that information with delivering evidence-based interventions? In this webinar, Alyssa will share with you the results of a very important research that she and her colleagues are undertaking on the progression with age of such variables as self-care, recreation, balance, ROM, walking capacity, and others in children with cerebral palsy. She will review standardized assessment tools and corresponding resources that can inform your decisions. She will also walk you through a case study for a practical application of their research in designing effective interventions to optimize the function of the children that you work with. Closed Captioned in English

BONUS: PRACTICAL TOOLKIT – Developmental Trajectories per Assessment Tool; Resource: Websites, Must-reads and Links to Assessment Tools

Alyssa LaForme Fiss, PT, PhD is a Professor of Physical Therapy at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas, Texas.
