Patti will start the day with tests used to identify children with probable Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and the six strategies you can implement right away to improve their motor skills. In the 2nd seminar, Patti will present her Top 5 evidence-informed intervention strategies for teaching motor skills in children with Cerebral Palsy.
In the afternoon, Karen will explore how to apply seven motor learning principles to support autistic children and youth in developing meaningful motor skills and participation. Finally, Carly will close this evidence-filled day with the best assessment tools, intervention strategies, and important contraindications for children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Throughout the day, you will see how each speaker applies these research-supported strategies through real-life case studies of children with these health conditions.
